GLG Memorial

The GLG Memorial was established in honor of the memory of Clyde “Dee” Grinstead, Marilyn Laganke and Richard “Dick” Getzendiner.  All three of these people have lost their battles with cancer.  Please take a moment to go to the bio section of this website to see their stories.

Our inspiration comes from personal experiences and losses from this horrible disease.  In our efforts, we have found that it is very difficult to find anyone that has not been affected by cancer in some way.  We realize that each person has their own unique experience with cancer and GLG wants to assist you by providing an avenue for your efforts to eliminate this disease.  We at the GLG promise to never forget those lost, those fighting and those who have survived.

GLG is more than just a fundraising group; it’s a call to action. We are looking for people who are tired of the affects of cancer and are ready to fight against it.  Our group, through fundraising events, will raise proceeds that will be given directly to organizations such as the American Cancer Society (“ACS”).

Please take a moment to browse this website and be sure to look at the events page.  This will help you to find the best way for you to be a part of this effort.  Be sure to sign up for e-mail notifications so you can stay current with the upcoming events and news releases.

Thank you for considering involvement with The GLG Memorial.  We realize in these trying economic times where budgets have been cut and savings reduced, it takes a special individual to be able to donate their time, services and/or money.  We want everyone to know, one person can and does make a difference.
